Book Review, "The Phoenix"

In L/L writing we have to write a book review about a story we read before called "The Phoenix". Before writing this book review we learn what is a book review and how is it.

The Phoenix was written by Sylvia Townsend Warner in 1940. She was born in 1893 in England, UK. She was a writer of shorts storys and poetry. Sylvia died in 1978, when she wad 84 years old. The last book she write was "The Phoenix".
This short story is about a rare bird, exotic, that all people think that was in extinction. Lord Strawberry was a good person, a gentleman, a bird lover, owner of an aviary. The phoenix was only found in Arabia so he went himself to looked for him and he acomplished his objective. Two years later he returned home and few months later he died. After some money issues the bird ended in Mr. Poldero's hands, owner of Poldero's Wizard Wonderland. Poldero was a really bad man, he abused the bird only because he wanted some money, but the bird kept calm. At the end of ghe story The Phoenix took revenge of him in an unexpected way.
The charactrs are very well explained about their attitudes, for example that Mr. Poldero it is  ery ambitious with money or that Strawberry is a bird lover, etc. But in relation with their physical appearence they aren't explained at all.
To sum up, the story is a very intresting story and gives a very good explanation about people that will do everything for money, because people is very ambitious. Also explained that people that did bad things for money would sufer the concequences.  It is an excellent book to read, I recomend it.
